Lincoln City "Kite Capital of the World"

Water lovers will love it here.  Lincoln City is bordered on the eastside by Devil’s Lake and the Coast Range, to the east by the Pacific and 7+ miles of sandy beach, the Salmon River to the north, and the Siletz Bay and River to the south.

Home to about 8 thousand full-timers, the population expands to 30K plus in the summer!  Lincoln is also known for its colorful downtown, casino, culinary center, antique shops and tons of water activities. This community has mild climate, world class surf and no shortage of activities.

Every year, over 2000 hand-blown glass floats are hidden on the beaches for the lucky ones to find and cherish, as each is a unique piece of art.

Where is Lincoln City?

About an hour from Salem, 2 hours to Portland and on the 45 Parallel - Halfway between the Equator and the North Pole. Check out the interactive map:

Enjoying a mild maritime climate there is no shortage of year round activities. Famous for its seven miles of sandy beach where the infamous float fairies hide beautiful hand blown floats from mid-October to Memorial Day. Local and tourists scour the beach for the collectible treasure!  Devils Lake is popular for all kinds of boating and lake activities. Locals have a saying, "1st you live on the ocean and then the lake."
