Explore Pacific City

"Home of the Dory Fleet"

A place to do nothing perfectly…or everything you always wanted to. Pacific City a small beach town with a big name – after all it was named after the ocean!

Amazing beaches and some you can even drive onto, but keep an eye on the tides…

Where is Pacific City aka PC?

Just 2 hours from Portland and a tad over an hour from Salem, Oregon. Pacific City is in the southern end of Tillamook County along the Pacific Ocean and adjacent to Bob Straub Park. It is 2.8 miles from Highway 101.

What can I do for fun there?

From Dory boats to incredible nature trails you can find it in PC.  Maybe start your adventure at Bob Straub Park and check out the sand spit. The park has fishing and the Nestucca River is famous for 50 lb Chinook salmon. There is also lots of opportunities to sight wildlife and marine mammals. Also, great spot for hang gliding right off of a beach dune!

There are several great places to eat.  We like The Pelican Pub for artisan beer and a coast inspired meal.  From the deck you can see the surfers and watch dory boats handle the waves.  You can also drive onto the beach and tailgate.  Pretty Cool!  Another fav spot is Grateful Bread.  Home cooking and baking at its best.  be sure to grab some scones when you leave to eat on the beach the next morning with your coffee.  There are lots of small boutiques to peruse.  In the summer, go for a relaxing beach ride on a horse and be sure to take your camera.
